I was born and raised in Pond Creek, Oklahoma – a small rural community just outside of Enid. I’ll never forget the first house my parents owned, and my mother letting me decorate my bedroom just the way I wanted! You could say I have been decorating since the fourth grade. Not only did my mother allow me to be creative, she was also my inspiration to become a decorator and owner of my own business. You see – for years, my mother owned her own custom drapery business. Her passion for decorating was passed on to me – “A Second Generation Decorator”!
Since graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, I have had the opportunity to travel and live in many places across the country. These experiences have given me a true appreciation for the many decorating styles from traditional to southwest to contemporary to coastal. I originally started my business while I was living in south Louisiana, but in 2013, I decided it was time to get back home! So I put on my big girl pants and moved myself and my business to Norman, Oklahoma! The challenge of starting over was scary and exciting! It has been a couple of years, and my business is strong and growing!
It is great to say I’m from Oklahoma, but it is so much better to be in Oklahoma!
